After our brief morning visit to Plymouth, Massachusetts, we drove north to Quincy in suburban Boston to visit Adams National Historical Park. Then we drove to our next hotel in Methuen, Massachusetts.
At Adams National Historical Park we visited the birthplaces and homes of John Adams, 2nd President of the United States, and John Quincy Adams, 6th President of the United States and son of John Adams.
We spent about three hours at Adams National Historical Park. The tour guides at Adams National Historical Park were friendly, well informed, and shared many tidbits about Adams history. For example, our tour guide mentioned that among the first twelve Presidents of these United States, John Adams and his son John Quincy Adams were the only two that never owned slaves at any point during their lives.
