This morning we walked from our motel near Fenway Park to the Kenmore Subway station, where we hopped on a green line train that took us to Boston Common. The weather was extremely hot and humid, but that didn’t discourage us because this was the only day on which we had time to visit downtown Boston.
After taking a brief walk in Boston Common, we began a trek on Boston’s Freedom Trail. The Freedom Trail is a self-guided walking tour of historic sites in downtown Boston.
The extreme heat and heavy humidity wore us out pretty quickly, so we didn’t make it to the Freedom Trail attractions that are not located in the immediate downtown area. We’ll have to see those sites during our next trip to Boston.
