This morning my brother and I had another early Sunday morning bike ride. At 7:00 AM we racked our bikes on my car and drove to Dublin. We parked at Dublin High School, unloaded our bikes, and joined the Iron Horse Trail at 7:30 AM. We pedaled north on the Iron Horse Trail through Dublin, San Ramon and on to downtown Danville. In Danville, at the Museum for the San Ramon Valley, we turned around and rode south on the same trail to return to our starting point in Dublin.
Our total riding distance today was 16.8 miles. The weather was mildly cool and cloudy which is excellent for bicycling, although we did encounter moderate and annoying headwinds at several points during the ride. We were back home in Castro Valley before 10:00 AM.
