Today, as I did last Sunday, I rode my bicycle on the Iron Horse Trail. Last Sunday, my brother rode with me. I rode solo today because my brother and his daughter already had plans for the day.
At 8:45 AM I loaded by bike on to my car’s bike rack and drove to the Castro Valley BART station, where I parked the car and took my bike on to BART. I rode BART east to the Dublin/Pleasanton station and from there I joined the Iron Horse trail at its southern end.
I rode my bike north on the Iron Horse Trail through Dublin and San Ramon for approximately 6.5 miles to the trail’s rest stop at Norris Canyon Road. Then I turned around and pedaled back to the BART station for the BART ride back to Castro Valley. I arrived at home a few minutes after noon.
I enjoy riding on the Iron Horse Trail because it is flat and there are no cars to dodge. I wish there was a similar trail in my town.
