This morning we checked out of our hotel in Chattanooga, Tennessee and hit the road after enjoying 3 days and 3 nights in Chattanooga. We’re heading to Nashville now, but we’ll make a slight detour along the way to visit Lynchburg, Tennessee to take a guided tour of the Jack Daniel’s Distillery. That’s where the world famous Jack Daniel’s whiskey is made.

The tour at the Jack Daniel’s distillery lasts a little over an hour and takes you inside several buildings in which the whiskey is extracted, fermented, stored, and aged.

When we completed our tour of the Jack Daniel’s distillery, we drove a few blocks south to check out the town square in Lynchburg. Unfortunately, the town held their ‘Frontier Days’ festival on this date so the crowds were large and parking was virtually impossible. So we rolled out of Lynchburg without stopping and headed to Nashville.
