As we left downtown Lexington, Massachusetts, our next stop was the visitor center at Minute Man National Historical Park. There are two visitor centers in Minute Man National Historical Park. One visitor center is in Lexington and the other is in Concord. We’d visit both visitor centers, first at Lexington and then at Concord.
It was interesting to visit the places where the American Revolutionary War began. When we finished our visit to Minute Man National Historical Park in Concord and Lexington, Massachusetts, we drove north to New Hampshire. We’d spend the night in a motel in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Our first evening in New Hampshire was a disappointment. We planned to attend the New Hampshire Fisher Cats baseball game in Manchester. Forty five minutes before the first pitch, we left our motel to head to the ballpark which was only 3 miles away. When we arrived at the ballpark, we were told that all of the parking lots were already full and we’d have to park in a city lot that’s a mile way. We drove to the closest available parking area and decided that it was unacceptable, because the game would be in the 3rd inning by the time we could walk to the ballpark. So we blew off the ballgame, drove back to our motel, and spent the evening relaxing.
