This afternoon we relaxed at our motel in Pearl, Mississippi and watched thunderstorms pour down a hard rain. An hour later, the thunderstorms were gone and the Mississippi heat dried the ground quickly. At 5 PM we made the short drive to Trustmark Park in Pearl, Mississippi to attend a ballgame.
The Mississippi Braves fell behind early and were trailing 7-0 in the 7th inning. The Braves scored 4 times in the 7th to make it close, and then scored 3 times in the 9th to tie the game at 7 and send it into extra innings. The Braves could not complete the comeback, as they surrendered 2 runs to Jackson in the 11th and lost the game. Jackson defeated Mississippi by a score of 9-7. Box Score
Tomorrow morning we’ll check out of our motel and drive to Pensacola, Florida.
