This morning, just before sunrise, I enjoyed a 2 mile walk at Lake Chabot Regional Park. Lake Chabot is located at the point where Castro Valley meets San Leandro.
Lake Chabot is a convenient place for me to walk because it is located on the most direct route from my home to my father’s assisted living facility. When I make a morning visit to my father, I usually stop on the way at Lake Chabot for a brisk sunrise walk. The park is often crowded, especially on weekends, but it is never crowded at sunrise.
I had the Lake Chabot trails to myself on this chilly morning. The temperature during my walk was 39 degrees, but there was no wind and no rain.
