I arrived in Monterey yesterday and I’m heading home tomorrow, so today is my only full sightseeing day in this area. My first stop of the day was Point Lobos, which is approximately 5 miles south of Carmel on the Pacific Coast Highway.

A friend at work told me that I should visit Point Lobos when I’m in the Monterey area because the ocean views there are fantastic and the place is unknown to tourists, so there’s never a crowd.

I spent a little over 90 minutes walking about and taking in the views at Point Lobos before returning to Carmel and Monterey.
