This morning, during another inline skating session on the streets of Pleasanton, I tried something new with my GoPro Max camera. A recent software update for the camera allows slow motion frame rates, so I produced a bit of slow motion footage from today’s skating. I’m sharing a brief video clip here.
I started today’s session at the outdoor roller hockey rink at Val Vista Park in Pleasanton. I like to use the rink for drills and practicing new things, because the surface of the rink is reliable (no potholes, bumps, sewer covers, rail tracks, etc.) and there are no elevation changes. I spent about 30 minutes on the rink working on crossover turns and various methods for stopping, and then I took it to the streets for a 10 mile fitness skating workout.
