Toronto Blue Jays

After visiting the CN Tower and the Hockey Hall of Fame, we returned to our hotel at Rogers Centre for a bit of rest (and laundry) before attending another Oakland A’s vs. Toronto Blue Jays ballgame this evening. A couple of hours before the game, we settled in at our hotel’s lounge to watch the A’s take batting practice. When we’d had enough at the Arriba Lounge, we made our way inside the ballpark to watch tonight’s game.

After the A’s victory of the Blue Jays last night, the Toronto fans weren’t quite as courteous toward A’s fans as they were at last night’s game.

Tonight’s game was tremendous, for A’s fans. Oakland defeated Toronto 16-0. Box Score

After such a slaughter, we might have expected ugly outbursts from some Toronto fans as we left the ballpark. Fortunately, with the A’s scoring early and often tonight, most Toronto fans left the ballpark long before the end of the game. Of course, we stayed until the final out was recorded.

Tomorrow morning, we’re leaving Toronto and returning to the United States after 5 days in Canada.
