Van Gogh, The Life

Vincent Van Gogh led a fascinating life. He’d be a perfect subject for a TV mini-series, if someone would do it correctly and not feed all of the myths and fiction about poor Vincent.

If you’d like to learn everything about Vincent Van Gogh, read Van Gogh, The Life by Steven Naifeh and Gregory White Smith. The book is 976 pages long and covers everything about Vincent. I enjoyed the book very much.

Vincent’s story is not uplifting. If you’re looking for a quick read or a delightful story, this is not the book for you. If you’re somewhat familiar with Van Gogh and would like to learn more about him, and you’re not intimated by a long and sad story, this is definitely the book for you.
